Meeting at the White House and Helping Haiti

As we wrote about last week, I had the honor of representing Yelp at a White House Forum on Modernizing Government with President Obama and many well-known business and government representatives. As a recap of the event, both business and government leaders in attendance were genuinely excited to have a chance to collaborate and work towards an improved government for all. Videos of the sessions can be found here.

Perhaps of more immediate importance, we also discussed the need for people to help the Haiti rescue and relief efforts. While this wasn't meant to be the focus of the day's event, it was something that was on everyone's mind; specifically, how we can help. This is even more urgent following today's 6.1 aftershock there. At the forum, we learned of a relief and recovery fund being coordinated by former Presidents Clinton and Bush. People wishing to contribute should visit www.clintonbushhaitifund.org.

Yelpers far and wide have already shown their
extensive support of Haiti both via local events, as well as donations. We hope you'll continue to get involved where and when you can, as well as share www.clintonbushhaitifund.org with friends, family and colleagues. If you know of additional efforts or events, please share them with us on our Twitter and Facebook pages so we can do our part to broadcast them as appropriate, too.
